Job Title: Network Engineer (Senior)

ECS Federal is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer (Senior) to join our team in Morgantown, WV. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network systems to support our clients' mission-critical operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Implement and manage Cisco ASA firewalls to ensure secure and reliable network connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues and outages in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Document network configurations, diagrams, and rack layouts to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Evaluate network performance and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Examine network vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Provide off-hours support for system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
  • Recommend, schedule, and implement repairs within the network environment.
  • Schedule and perform backups on all network components to ensure data integrity.
  • Ensure network components maintain compliance with NIST security requirements.
  • Develop network documentation, including diagrams and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide network and system administration support to the CODIS Helpdesk.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in networking, computer science, or a related field, and four years of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One or more mid-level network certifications, such as CCNP, JNCIP, JNCIS, or PCNSA.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or DOE Q clearance throughout the life of the contract.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desired Skills:
  • Active Top Secret or DOE Q Clearance with the ability to maintain clearance throughout the life of the contract.
  • Two or more years of experience supporting US Government customers.
  • Project Management Professional certification.
  • Experience supporting complex government and programs of a research and development nature.
