Your Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Manager at Equity Residential, you will work closely with the Community and Property Manager to lead a high-performing team, ensure compliance with company standards, and assist team members with their tasks when needed.

  • Collaborate with the Community Manager to achieve property goals and objectives.
  • Ensure team adherence to Equity standards and promptly address resident service requests.
  • Assist team members in completing maintenance tasks and preparing apartments for rental.
  • Analyze property data and offer recommendations for financial matters.
  • Work with the Property Manager on capital projects and oversee inventory management.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and submit status reports.

Your Qualifications

  • Hands-on maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, appliance, and HVAC.
  • Previous experience in property management, hospitality, or retail.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and auto insurance.
  • Computer literacy and strong communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with federal and state housing laws.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends availability.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies and work on-call shifts.
  • Use personal smartphone for work-related tasks.
  • EPA Section 608 Type I and Type II or Universal certification within 90 days of hire if required.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a managerial role.
