Position Overview:

The Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) is responsible for overseeing the pharmacy team and ensuring the accurate dispensing of medications within a healthcare setting. The PIC manages incoming communications from healthcare providers, records data electronically, processes prescriptions, and conducts thorough reviews of medication utilization.

This role is a full-time opportunity within a healthcare facility, with a work schedule of Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations while maintaining the highest standards of pharmaceutical care.
  • Drive business development and manage pharmacy expenses effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations.
  • Accurately dispense, order, and manage inventory of medications and supplies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to address potential prescription incompatibilities.
  • Direct pharmacy activities and enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Stay informed about evolving laws, regulations, and pharmacy programs.
  • Consult with clinic staff and administrators to promote quality patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming pharmacy environment, consistently demonstrating a positive demeanor.
  • Exhibit professionalism in alignment with company standards, including appropriate attire and grooming.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and in accordance with company policies.
  • Embrace and embody the core values and objectives of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral (PharmD) degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience in retail or clinical pharmacy preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) is advantageous.
  • Valid pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Experience with 340B programs is a plus.
  • AAHIVP certification is preferred.
  • Additional pharmacy-related certifications are beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, management, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated individual with a proactive approach and excellent follow-up abilities.
  • Able to effectively mentor and manage pharmacy staff while fostering positive customer interactions.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is between $130,000 and $150,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
