KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Exhibit proficient mechanical abilities, interpret production orders, assembly guidelines, and component specifications.
- Review documentation, standard operating procedures, and reference schematics.
- Comprehend quality benchmarks and identify discrepancies on the production line to relay to the Station Leader.
- Be adaptable to transition to various workstations as required.
- Familiarity with Premium Appearance standards and the capability to recognize defects in products as necessary.
- Understanding of fundamental Lean Principles, including the 8 Wastes and the 5S methodology, with the capacity to suggest improvements and uphold these practices.
- Consistently achieve high levels of productivity, safety, and work ethics.
- Basic proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft.
- Execute any additional responsibilities assigned by the Team Leader, Plant Superintendent, or Plant Manager.
- Maintain an exemplary attendance record.
- Willingness to work various shifts as needed.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analytical Skills – Recognize damaged components and perform necessary repairs effectively.
- Effective Communication – Collaborate efficiently with the Station Leader, Material Coordinator, and forklift operators to ensure product quality.
- Customer Orientation – Grasp the requirements of customers, both upstream and downstream, and understand how quality and timely delivery affect them.
- Team Development – Employ suitable techniques and interpersonal skills to nurture, motivate, and guide new temporary staff.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The role requires standing and walking for approximately 50% of the time. The position is set in a typical manufacturing environment, facing standard risks associated with installed HVAC systems and rotating machinery. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs may be necessary.
