Job Responsibilities and QualificationsThe OR Technician II is a skilled and experienced individual who operates under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, responsible for specific tasks in patient care within the surgical and/or operating room environment. The OR Technician II reports to the Registered Nurse for each case, as well as the Clinical Manager and the Director of Surgical Services. If this aligns with your expertise, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.
- Assists with surgical procedures in scrub roles.
- Facilitates the orientation, training, and education of new staff.
- Maintains a safe and sterile environment for all patients.
- Performs all related duties as assigned and directed.
- Supports the provision of individualized patient care.
- High School diploma or equivalent; college education preferred.
- Completion of an accredited OR Technician program.
- Surgical Technologist Certification preferred.
- Experience in training new employees and students.
- Three years of training or experience in various specialties within an acute care setting.
- Able to perform 80% of surgical procedures.
- Participates in approved administrative projects, including at least one employee-identified project.
- Actively engages in preference card updates.
- Current BLS certification.
