Job Title: Forklift Shipping

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Shipping professional to join our team at West Fraser. As a key member of our Shipping department, you will be responsible for the safe operation of a forklift in our sawmill environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough equipment checks and perform preventive maintenance on forklifts to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Transfer lumber between various plant operations while adhering to strict safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Perform key phases of Basic Care, including inspection, service, cleaning, and documentation of equipment.
Requirements:
  • Excellent safety record and attendance history.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, industrial environment with minimal supervision.
  • Valid forklift driver's certificate or heavy equipment loader certification.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and flexible shifts.
