Medical Laboratory Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Maury Regional Hospital. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of diseases by performing tests and reporting results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform tests and analyze results in all areas of the laboratory, including hematology, bacteriology, chemistry, and blood bank.
- Operate equipment and instruments necessary to perform high-volume, less complex analytical tests.
- Recognize instrument malfunctions and make simple corrections or notify a supervisor.
- Perform and record quality control procedures required for tests assayed.
- Recognize abnormal or unusual test results and follow departmental policy for reporting critical values.
Requirements:
- Licensure as a Medical Laboratory Technician is required.
- One year of related experience is preferred.
