About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Support Specialist to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors, while also contributing to the success of our plasma collection operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, including reviewing medical history, conducting physical examinations, and interpreting laboratory test results.
  • Manage donor adverse events, including responding to medical emergencies and providing guidance on donor safety and eligibility.
  • Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable test results.
  • Work under the guidance of the Center Manager and the management of the Center Physician for operational and medical guidance.
  • Follow guidance provided by BioLife Medical Affairs and provide center-level support for environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
  • Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT-Paramedic.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
  • Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy.
  • Satisfactorily complete the FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
  • Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
