Mid-Level Environmental Scientist/Geologist

Olgoonik Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Environmental Scientist/Geologist to join its team of dedicated professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with 5-8 years of relevant experience to contribute to the company's mission of providing high-quality environmental services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting field investigations, remediating contaminated sites, and overseeing projects across the United States. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical coordination and quality assurance of field work and technical planning documents.
• Participation in field programs, including soil, surface water, groundwater, sediment, and air sampling.
• Overseeing and monitoring the work of subcontractors, including drill rig crews, surveyors, construction crews, and remediation teams.
• Supporting the preparation of technical reports, including data analysis and interpretation.
• Evaluation of data quality and usability.
• Preparation of written reports, graphics, and figures of results.
• Contractor management and coordination.
• Analysis and interpretation of findings based on scientific experimentation and existing knowledge.
• Identification of viable remedial solutions consistent with federal, state, and local regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of relevant professional experience in environmental investigation and remediation.
• 40 HR OSHA Hazwoper certification.
• Prior experience working on Department of Defense projects is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification, registration, or license in a related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• GIS experience is a plus.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to successfully complete a U.S. government-administered investigation.

Work Environment:

The Mid-Level Environmental Scientist/Geologist will work in a general office and field environment, with travel required as needed.
