Environmental Scientist/Geologist

Olgoonik Corporation Seeks Environmental Expert

Olgoonik Corporation, a leading provider of environmental services, is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Scientist/Geologist to join its team. As a key member of our environmental remediation team, you will be responsible for conducting field investigations and remediation projects across the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

• Coordinate and oversee field work, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to project timelines.
• Participate in field programs, collecting and analyzing environmental samples, and interpreting data to inform remediation strategies.
• Supervise and manage subcontractors, including drill rig crews, surveyors, and construction teams.
• Prepare technical reports, including data analysis and recommendations for remediation.
• Evaluate data quality and usability, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
• Develop and implement effective remediation solutions, considering federal, state, and local regulations.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in environmental investigation and remediation, with a focus on geology and chemistry.
• 40 HR OSHA Hazwoper certification.
• Prior experience working on Department of Defense projects is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 60% of the time, with occasional overnight stays.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• GIS experience is a plus.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to obtain a U.S. government-administered security clearance.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position, with a general office and field work environment. Travel will be required, with occasional participation in presentations and meetings with clients and stakeholders.
