Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Professor of School Counseling to join our team at the University of Central Oklahoma. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching introductory and graduate courses in the School Counseling program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in the School Counseling program, including introductory and graduate-level courses.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the program's goals and objectives.
  • Provide a quality learning experience for students, including instruction, assessment, and feedback.
  • Stay current with best practices in school counseling and incorporate relevant research and theory into course instruction.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive educational experience for students.
Requirements
  • Possesses at least a master's degree in the field of school counseling or a related field.
  • Possesses excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in school counseling or a related field is preferred.
  • Higher education teaching experience is also preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in School Counseling or a related field.
  • Previous experience in school counseling or a related field.
  • Higher education teaching experience.
Working Conditions

The Adjunct Professor of School Counseling will work in a fast-paced academic environment, teaching courses on a semester-by-semester basis. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be able to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
