Job Description

LanceSoft is seeking a highly skilled R-D Engineer I to join our team. As an emulation engineer, you will work closely with hardware design engineers, firmware developers, and test engineers to develop and manage Implantable Medical Device (IMD) test environments used by Firmware Verification Test (FWVT) engineers for firmware verification through simulation, emulation, timing analysis, test analysis, and logic analysis.

The ideal candidate will have experience with hardware simulation, RTL code in Verilog or VHDL, and scripting languages such as Python, bash, and TCL. They will also be familiar with developing in a Linux environment and have experience with CI/CD processes. Additionally, the candidate should have excellent problem-solving skills, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and effective communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage IMD test environments for FWVT engineers
  • Design and develop electronic circuit models and system hardware models in Verilog
  • Develop and maintain firmware test scripts and regressions
  • Oversee the build and release process of new firmware updates
  • Troubleshoot firmware and firmware test scripts

Requirements:

  • Hardware simulation, RTL code experience in Verilog or VHDL
  • Experience with scripting languages, (Python, bash, TCL)
  • Proven experience in the design, development, and maintenance of hardware test environments/models preferably in the medical device industry
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cadence Emulation toolset experience
  • Linux Development Experience
  • Code Development in C/C++
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes
