Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetrical patients, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care.
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Conduct antepartum testing and fetal heart rate monitoring, interpreting results and reporting findings to physicians.
  • Deliver babies in emergency situations, providing critical care and support to newborns and their families.
  • Set up and operate medical equipment, including fetal monitors, respiratory therapy equipment, and intravenous infusion pumps.
  • Assume responsibility for aseptic technique maintenance, accuracy of sponge and needle counts, and adequacy of supplies.

Requirements:

  • Current and valid RN license in a state, US Territory, or District of Columbia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification.
  • Pre-appointment physical required.
  • Childcare Background required, with a favorable Criminal Background Check as a condition of employment.
