Position Overview

A prominent firm in the utilities engineering sector is seeking a Civil Engineering Site Specialist to deliver design services that support projects related to substation and transmission line engineering within high voltage electrical environments.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Engage in site design, grading, drainage, and earthwork while adhering to utility engineering standards.
  • Utilize engineering application software, including AutoCAD and Bentley MicroStation, for daily design tasks.
  • Collaborate with transmission line and substation engineers to execute comprehensive project designs.
Required Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in site design, grading, drainage, stormwater management, land easements, surveying, and earthwork.
  • Knowledge of soil erosion and sediment control, stormwater modeling, permitting, and pavement design specifications.
  • Familiarity with electrical substation and transmission line components and their operational functions.
  • Proficiency in common engineering software applications; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation 3D, and Pondpack is preferred.
  • Understanding of engineering standards such as NESC, IEEE, ANSI, AISC, and ACI.
Preferred Qualifications

Candidates holding a Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification are encouraged to apply.

Compensation

Salary range: $85,000 - $135,000 per year.
