Job Title: Pediatrician

Cone Health is seeking a skilled Pediatrician to join our team at the Women's & Children's Center. As a Pediatrician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to newborns and children.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily rounds on patients admitted to the department's service.
  • Respond to critical or emergency care alerts within the hospital units.
  • Ensure continuity of care for patients, maintaining communication with the attending physician.
  • Provide assessment of patients and coordinate their care with the attending and referring physicians.
  • Review lab results, x-rays, and other test results with physicians, and organize information for rounds.
  • Perform patient procedures as ordered by the physicians.
  • Serve as a point of contact for inpatient activities for nursing staff and physicians regarding admissions and discharges.
  • Participate in cross coverage sign outs with physicians when appropriate.
  • Assist in reviewing and collecting data for use in quality improvement and for monitoring outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Appropriate degree required from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
  • 1 year of clinical experience specific to practice as a NP or PA preferred.
  • Must be able to see all ages, newborn to adult.
  • Current PA or NP licensure in the State of NC.
  • DEA License.
Working Conditions:

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks is essential. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
