Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Trinity Health Michigan. As a key member of our Respiratory Care Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced practice procedures, including operating balloon pumps, working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and conducting Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT).
  • Participate in the orientation of staff and student training programs, representing the Respiratory Care department.
  • Complete Health Stream yearly on a timely basis, per Trinity Health Michigan standards.
  • Maintain current RRT credential and valid State of Michigan License in Respiratory Care.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, necessary to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare personnel.
  • Utilize analytical skills to identify patient needs and provide high-quality patient care.
  • Concentrate and pay close attention to detail for up to 100% of work time.
  • Ability to walk and stand for approximately 60% of work time and to lift, pull, push, and carry portable equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner - Accredited Respiratory Therapist program: Registry eligible.
  • Maintain current RRT credential and valid State of Michigan License in Respiratory Care.
  • Consistently exhibit interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare personnel.
  • Utilize analytical skills necessary to identify patient needs.
  • Possesses and exhibits the ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for up to 100% of work time.
  • Ability to walk and stand for approximately 60% of work time and to lift, pull, push, and carry portable equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
