Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the engineering efforts in developing and optimizing space-based systems.
  • Assess and propose enhancements to existing engineering frameworks to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for technical reviews, providing insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Contribute to the overall project management schedule and take responsibility for specific engineering tasks.
  • Utilize sound judgment to identify and mitigate risks that may affect project timelines and resource allocation.
  • Serve as a technical representative in addressing complex engineering challenges and fostering innovative solutions.
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical obstacles to maintain project quality and progress.
  • Minimal travel requirements anticipated (< 10%).
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience; or a minimum of 6 years with a Master's degree; or 3 years with a PhD. Additional relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • This position requires a Top-Secret clearance with the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI and undergo a polygraph as needed.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting systems engineering processes throughout the project lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, integration, testing, and configuration.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a technical field.
  • Experience within the Intelligence Community, particularly in systems engineering.
  • Hands-on experience in software or hardware integration roles.
  • Knowledge of defensive space control strategies and mission protection.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise and System Architecture principles.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Understanding of Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with software-centric systems.
  • SAFe certification or experience with the Scaled Agile Framework.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively engage with stakeholders.
