Diet Technician

Key Responsibilities:- Assist Registered Dietitians and the clinical team in supporting resident care by developing and implementing nutrition care plans.
- Collect resident information and dietary data for Registered Dietitian review, and monitor resident food intake and preferences.
- Perform nutrition screenings and assessments under the guidance of a Registered Dietitian, and support menu planning and meal rounds.
- Ensure compliance with dietary standards, and assist in the documentation of resident progress within the EMR system.
- Participate in facility audits, sanitation checks, and quality control processes as needed.
- Associate's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience in healthcare, long-term care, or a related setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and guidelines.
- Proficient in the use of electronic health records (EHR/EMR) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
