About the Role

The Senior Portfolio Manager position is a critical role within Credit Administration, driving the strategic vision of Texas Capital Bank. This individual will support the TMT line of business, overseeing the underwriting process for all credit requests and working closely with Analysts, Associates, and Relationship Managers to evaluate potential risks and identify cross-sell opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor portfolio quality against established criteria and recommend adjustments to existing credit facilities as needed.
  • Lead deal origination and close with minimal oversight, ensuring efficient follow-up and best-in-class customer service.
  • Partner with Relationship Managers in credit agreement review and negotiation, owning all credit approvals.
  • Identify key risks and issues pertinent to each credit request, including potential mitigants for identified risks.
  • Direct and manage portfolio reviews, validating covenant compliance and covenant management.
  • Own post-approval modifications to ensure accurate reporting of credit exposure.
  • Client management, including day-to-day needs, contact meetings, and site visits.
  • Oversight and analysis of macroeconomic conditions, industry trends, and changes in lending practices.
  • Portfolio reporting and analytics, including grade-migration, past-dues, exceptions, and coming-due maturities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commercial Banking, or equivalent/relevant program.
  • 8 years' experience in Commercial or Corporate Banking with formal Credit training.
  • Exceptional writing, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Extraordinary levels of motivation and initiative.
  • Effective team players who want to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and build working relationships across the organization.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Passion for financial services and delivering superior client experiences.
  • Proven leadership skills and community involvement.
