Compensation is competitive, ranging from $45 to $65 per hour, commensurate with skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose vehicle issues based on customer inquiries.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Perform both independent and collaborative mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Utilize both analog and digital diagnostic tools to identify vehicle problems.
- Provide customers with repair estimates, clarifying the necessity of services.
- Communicate additional vehicle concerns and offer informed recommendations.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Source and procure necessary automotive parts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a postsecondary automotive service technology program is preferred.
- Experience working on a diverse range of vehicles, including luxury and classic brands.
- Knowledge of carburetor and fuel injection systems, particularly SU, Stromberg, and Weber types.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues in modified vehicles.
- Proficient in tire changing and balancing, including vintage wire wheels.
- Capability to fabricate parts and tools when necessary.
- Strong research skills for locating rare automotive components.
- Effective communication with colleagues and customers regarding vehicle matters.
- Innovative problem-solving skills tailored to individual vehicle challenges.
- Welding and machining skills are advantageous.
- Experience in vehicle restoration and race car preparation is a plus.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and communication abilities.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
