Job Description and Duties

The Department of Health Care Access and Information is seeking a highly skilled Research Data Specialist III to join our team. As a senior data programs specialist, you will provide subject matter expertise in data collection, visualization, and analysis standards for our programs under the Enterprise Data Operations Branch.

You will independently perform complex ad hoc research and data requests to inform our senior leadership, develop and track key performance indicators for our data collection programs, and participate in data governance activities. Additionally, you will provide technical assistance and training to junior level research data specialists and analysts within the Branch.

To be successful in this role, you must have advanced experience using statistical software such as SAS, Data Grip, SQL, and business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or other related visualization software.

Working Conditions

We offer a hybrid telework schedule with a combination of remote and in-office work schedules for CA residents only. The telework policy is subject to change, and additional in-office days may be required and/or minimal notification may be given to report to the worksite if an urgent need arises.
