Responsibilities:

  • Manage the parts sales process from start to finish
  • Communicate with customers on parts status and provide updates
  • Interact with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Read and understand the parts catalog to locate parts
  • Answer phone calls, provide price quotes, and respond to customer inquiries
  • Review body shop estimates to ensure accurate parts ordering and pricing
  • Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers
  • Pull and fill orders from stock
  • Conduct weekly stock checks to maintain accuracy
  • Notify the parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials requiring attention
  • Locate out-of-stock parts from external sources and submit emergency orders if necessary
  • Ensure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders
  • Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization
  • Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up

Qualifications:

  • Prior Toyota parts experience is required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is necessary
  • Experience in auto parts sales is preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and operating instructions
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including discounts and percentages
