Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Fellow to join our research team at Emory University. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in the field of biomedical engineering, biomedical informatics, and health sciences.

The Postdoctoral Fellow will be responsible for designing and conducting research within a specified field, receiving advanced training from a designated Principal Investigator, and enhancing their professional skills and research independence. The specific area of research will be determined by the department and laboratory of the Postdoc.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field, excellent scientific writing ability, and strong oral communication skills. They will also be able to work effectively and collegially with colleagues and have a strong publication track record showing research experiences that developed or applied techniques such as signal processing, machine learning, deep learning, mathematical modeling, system identification, optimization, digital/mobile health, natural language processing, and data visualization.

Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct research within a specified field
  • Receive advanced training from a designated Principal Investigator
  • Enhance professional skills and research independence
  • Develop and evaluate experiments
  • Prepare and publish scientific manuscripts
  • May be responsible for operation of specific equipment
  • May teach techniques to others, train, and supervise research staff
Requirements
