We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at AdventHealth Waterman. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations on patients utilizing the skills and equipment specific to your profession.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality examinations according to established protocols while rendering safe and compassionate care to patients.
- Assist physicians in cases of adverse reaction, performance of interventional/biopsy procedures using sterile technique, and in acute emergencies when necessary.
- Maintain supplies/inventory levels, keep exam rooms clean and orderly, including equipment and control areas.
- Properly utilize ultrasound designated disinfection systems, clean probes and ultrasound devices according to protocol.
- Follow protocols and adjust technique as needed to obtain the highest quality exam, obtain adequate history, and correct measurements according to established protocols.
- Utilize computer systems within hospital guidelines, proficient in required computer programs to perform daily job functions, and effectively communicate via email with professionalism.
- Complete medical records according to policy and procedures for exams being performed and transmission of electronic imaging to PACS.
- Troubleshoot equipment in the event of error, failure, complications, or downtime, and follow procedures during such events.
- Demonstrate a teamwork approach by assisting coworkers in expediting processes to ensure efficient and effective workflow in the delivery of quality care.
- Responsible for safely transporting patients via wheelchair, bed, stretcher, or escorting ambulatory visitors/patients.
- Graduate of AMA-approved Ultrasound program.
- Fluent in the English language.
- Experience/knowledge of computers/networking.
- OB/GYN and abdominal skills.
- Minimum 2 years hospital-based clinical experience.
