Job Summary:The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, including medication management, vital sign monitoring, and education on health and wellness. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and education on health and wellness.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients and families.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to care plans as needed.
- Provide education and support to patients and families on topics such as diabetic teaching, heart disease, obesity, food choices/nutrition, and other health risks.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license.
- One year of Psychiatric Nursing experience.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
- Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association.
- APN (Advanced Practice Nurse) certification.
The employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch.
The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing and viewing a computer terminal.
The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
