Fire Protection Engineer Opportunity

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Engineer to join our Florida Fire Protection Team. As a Fire Protection Engineer, you will be responsible for the complete installation of fire sprinkler systems in commercial and industrial buildings according to standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage on-site work crews and perform final inspections with local, state, and county AHJ's.
  • Assemble and install metal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron, steel, and copper.
  • Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment such as pumps and tanks.
  • Interpret work specifications and fire codes, test systems for leaks, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 7 years' industry experience required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • OSHA 30 Training required or must obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and redline fab drawings.
  • Ability to perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions.
  • Ability to work at heights in a man lift and lift 50+ pounds above head.
  • Strong working knowledge of wet and dry fire sprinkler systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and positive customer service attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Sales aptitude a plus.
  • Prior experience leading and overseeing a team.
  • Must be willing to travel.

Salary Range: $54,000 - $68,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
