Electrical Engineer Job Description

GPAC is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical control systems and components, specifying electrical components and materials for assembly and production, and conducting feasibility studies and cost analyses for electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical control systems and components
  • Specify electrical components and materials for assembly and production
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for electrical systems
  • Test prototypes and systems to ensure functionality and safety
  • Evaluate and verify design performance against specifications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues with installed equipment
  • Coordinate with other engineers, project managers, and technicians to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Manage project schedules and resources effectively
  • Provide technical guidance and support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases
  • Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to designs, specifications, and manuals
  • Participate in design reviews and technical meetings
  • Stay updated with advancements in electrical engineering technology and industry trends
  • Conduct research to develop new products, improve existing designs, or reduce costs
  • Implement innovative solutions to enhance performance or efficiency
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience, preferred
  • Experience with Rockwell and/or Beckhoff controls, highly desirable
  • Proficient in SOLIDWORKS or DraftSight
  • Familiar with relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and presenting technical information
  • Project management skills to oversee projects from conception to completion
