About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Clinician to join our team of dedicated professionals at Emergency Physicians Professional Association (EPPA) in Minnesota. As an integral member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional emergency medical care in various treatment areas, including the Emergency Department, Fast Track, and The Urgency Room.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide health care services to patients under the supervision of a physician.
  • Examine patients and perform comprehensive physical examinations.
  • Compile patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.
  • Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as CT scans, x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory tests, and interpret test results for deviations from normal.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures, like injections, immunizations, suturing wound care, and managing infections.
  • Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in provision of continuity of care.
  • Prescribe, administer, and dispense drugs, controlled substances, and medical devices.
  • Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens.
  • Create and maintain appropriate patient records.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working as an Advanced Practice Clinician in a tertiary, high-volume hospital emergency department where routine emergency procedures were performed.
  • Completion of an accredited physician assistant or nursing practitioner program.
  • Current licensure with the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice or Minnesota Board of Nursing.
  • Current ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certification.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple clinical tasks.
  • Consistently demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills that result in effective information exchange with patients, families, physicians, professional associates, and other individuals within the system.
