Nursery Curriculum Coordinator for Children's Ministry

HOURS: 3-4 hours on Sundays, subject to adjustment
SALARY: $22/hr
FLSA: Non-exempt
ROLE SUMMARY: The Nursery Curriculum Coordinator will facilitate engaging Bible study sessions for children aged infants to 2 years during worship services on Sunday mornings. This role requires physical activity, including transitioning between classrooms to deliver lessons, interacting with children, and providing assistance as necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Availability to work on Sundays from 9:15 AM to 12:15 PM, with potential adjustments.
- Punctuality is essential each Sunday.
- Participation in mandatory annual training sessions to review policies and procedures, fostering community among staff to ensure safe and effective service.
- Flexibility to assist in various classrooms as required.
- Notification of absences at least 2 weeks in advance; immediate communication with the Early Education Coordinator in case of illness.
- Entitlement to 4 unpaid vacation days during the ministry year.
- Commitment to work on Easter and at least one Sunday during the winter holiday season.
- Participation in Lessons and Carols Sunday, typically held in December.
- A commitment to serve for a minimum of 1 year from the start date.
- A passion for God, families, and children.
- Preferred experience in performance, though not mandatory.
- Ability to maintain composure in a stressful classroom environment.
- Effective communication skills with parents and volunteers.
- Team-oriented with strong character traits such as integrity, wisdom, and sound judgment.
- Warm and inviting demeanor, especially towards children who may struggle with separation from their parents.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
Compensation for this position considers various factors, including skill set, experience, training, and organizational needs.
