We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at HealthEcareers - Client. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting in the performance of diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the cath lab, including the setup and operation of equipment.
- Participate in the performance of diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including right and left cardiac catheterization, diagnostic and interventional, STEMI, EP, pacers, ICD, Ablations, structural heart, TAVR, watchman and mitral clip procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the safe and effective delivery of patient care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest technologies and procedures.
- Current certification in BLS, ACLS, and ARRT.
- Experience in right and left cardiac catheterization, diagnostic and interventional, STEMI, EP, pacers, ICD, Ablations, structural heart, TAVR, watchman and mitral clip procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- 4 10-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, with self-scheduling allowed but not finalized until manager balances.
- 1 weeknight call per week.
- Weekend call from Friday night to Monday AM.
- Holiday call is expected.
- Unit: Cath Lab, EP - RN.
- 4 suites/labs.
- 14-22 cases per day on average.
- Equipment: Cerner, Surginet, Sensis Vibe Hemodynamic Monitoring System, Siemens C Arm Systems.
- Mandatory call/standby requirement.
- Call response time: Must be in lab ready in 30 minutes; STEMI response time is tracked.
- Up to 1-week department specific orientation.
- Manager and charge nurse, as well as coordinator, available.
- Staff development nurse for orientation/education.
- Team player, friendly and flexible individuals desired.
- Busy and fast-paced unit.
