Position Overview:

The Kitchen Steward will work under the direct supervision of the Chef de Cuisine, contributing to the overall efficiency and cleanliness of the kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Thoroughly wash all dishes, glassware, and silverware.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, including pots and pans.
  • Properly store all kitchen tools and equipment.
  • Regularly sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure a tidy workspace.
  • Uphold a clean and safe working environment at all times.
  • Assist in transporting food and equipment as required.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Integrity and honesty in communication at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and embrace new ideas.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining high standards.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume kitchen setting.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical capability to stand, sit, and lift/move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required for close and distance tasks.

Work Environment:
  • The kitchen environment is typically loud.
