Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Pathology Teacher to join our team at the Erie City School District. As a Speech and Language Pathology Teacher, you will be responsible for providing intervention to individuals with communication impairments that adversely impact educational performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer diagnostic evaluations to assess communication skills
  • Develop evaluation reports and Individualized Education Plans for eligible children
  • Deliver direct and consultative speech and language services in early intervention, school age, and in-home settings
  • Complete necessary paperwork for reporting progress and updating data for children on caseload
  • Provide training to staff and parents when necessary
  • Log session notes into Easy Trac
  • Communicate effectively with families and staff members
  • Participate in Multi-Disciplinary team meetings to determine program eligibility and make placement/service recommendations
Requirements
  • PA Licensure in Speech and Language Pathology
  • PA Certificate in Speech & Language Impaired Certificate of Clinical Competence
  • Demonstrate experience working with speech & language pathology in educational settings, children with various speech language and/or hearing impairments, and families to enhance their child's development
  • Experience administering multi-disciplinary evaluations, adaptive behavior scales, and diagnostic tools specific to speech and language
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with a 187-day contract. The successful candidate will be expected to work in a variety of settings, including early intervention, school age, and in-home settings.
