Job Summary

Santa Barbara City College is seeking a part-time instructor to teach statistics courses for the behavioral sciences department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistics and experience in teaching at the community college level.

Responsibilities
  • Teach statistics courses for the behavioral sciences department
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental goals
Requirements
  • Masters in psychology or a related field
  • OR Bachelor's in psychology and Master's in counseling, sociology, statistics, neuroscience, or social work
  • OR the equivalent
  • OR possession of a lifetime California Community College Instructor Credential in psychology
  • Evidence of a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, culture, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching statistics courses at the community college level
  • Strong background in statistics and research methods
  • Ability to develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
