Job Summary

NXTPoint Logistics is seeking a highly skilled Class A CDL Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle, transporting goods, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-trip inspections on assigned vehicles and report any issues to management
  • Ensure vehicles are clean, organized, and equipped with necessary supplies and equipment
  • Drive vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to traffic rules and company standards
  • Interface with customers, building managers, and other stakeholders in a professional and positive manner
  • Direct moving crews and ensure efficient, safe, and damage-free relocation of goods
  • Document conditions of goods, discuss existing damage with customers, and protect premises from damage
  • Accurately complete paperwork and ensure customer completes necessary sections
Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
  • Must meet Department of Transportation driver requirements
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and use hand/power tools and moving equipment
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English to communicate with customers and complete paperwork
  • Must successfully complete safety, skills, customer service, and supervisor training
Physical Demands
  • Frequently bend and stoop
  • Lift and stack items weighing up to 30lbs overhead
  • Lift and carry items weighing up to 65lbs to chest height, 60lbs at shoulder level, and 100lbs to waist height
  • Lift items weighing up to 150lbs to a height of 10 inches
