Laundry Attendant Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our hospitality team at Crowne Plaza - Asheville, NC. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the smooth functioning of our laundry department, working closely with our housekeeping team to ensure timely and efficient linen supply to the floors.

Key Responsibilities:- Formulate Washing Formulas: Develop and implement effective washing formulas for stained loads and all other laundry products processed through the laundry area.
- Sort and Process Linen: Sort dirty linen by product type, identify damaged linen, and maintain accurate records of rag outs.
- Participate in Linen Inventory: Collaborate with the housekeeping team to conduct monthly linen inventory and ensure accurate tracking of linen supplies.
- Maintain Equipment: Communicate maintenance and upkeep issues to the appropriate personnel and suggest methods for increasing laundry efficiency.
- Organize Linen: Ensure that linen is sorted, loaded on carts, and stored on linen storage racks in a neat and organized manner.
- Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Multitask with linen in various machines running simultaneously, meeting production standards and deadlines.
- Ensure Proper Linen Supply: Ensure that the proper amount of linen is available for guest floors, in accordance with production standards and requirements.
- Main Duties: Fold linen and terry cloth items in a neat and pristine fashion, maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
- Guest Interactions: Maintain a professional, accommodating, and friendly demeanor when interacting with guests, ensuring a positive experience.
- Uniform and Personal Appearance: Maintain clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, adhering to company standards.
- High School Diploma: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this role.
- Team Orientation: Must be a team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills, a willingness to learn, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Organizational Skills: Possess excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
