About the Role
Works under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and the Director, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the total nursing care of assigned patients. You will utilize communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making to create a care plan for each patient based on physiological, psychosocial, and cultural diversity.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates ability to assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs by applying standards of practice as it relates to the specialty or patient population.
- Partners with patients and their family to develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care, treatments, and procedures that contribute to physiological and psychosocial outcomes of the patient.
- Demonstrates sense of urgency to facilitate patient throughput to ensure patient receives consistent, competent, and ethical care.
- Accurately completes all required clinical and quality documentation consistently per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
- Delegates and prioritizes tasks appropriately to facilitate quality patient care and service excellence to meet the patient's care needs.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree, Nursing (Preferred) or Associates Degree, Nursing (Preferred) or Program Graduate, Nursing (Nursing Diploma is minimum education requirement, Associate's or Bachelor's in Nursing accepted in lieu of Nursing Diploma) (Required).
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) or licensed in a compact state Upon Hire (Required).
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire (Required).
