Job Overview

The Finance Department at The Ladders embraces a flexible working model, allowing for remote work complemented by occasional travel to corporate locations.

This role will collaborate closely with the finance manager and sales team to deliver pricing support for our Customer Brands portfolio by developing, assessing, and interpreting pricing models, financial metrics, and market data.
  • Support the sales team in establishing pricing and customer strategies aligned with the overall corporate objectives.
  • Oversee daily pricing inquiries and requests.
  • Assist in the creation of pro-forma profit and loss statements and cost analysis for new products through cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports and analytics for cross-functional teams to enhance customer strategies and improve margins.
  • Manage and communicate changes in customer pricing.
  • Proactively evaluate and provide insights on customer financial performance.
  • Prepare financial analyses for leadership, including variance explanations against forecasts, plans, and prior periods, along with other ad-hoc analyses as required.
  • Contribute to the coordination and preparation of the annual business plan and monthly forecasts.
  • Identify and communicate financial issues promptly.
  • Assist in the development and upkeep of management reporting and hierarchies, utilizing knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion systems, including Bill of Materials (BOM) in Oracle.

Qualifications

In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, additional tasks may be assigned by your supervisor based on business needs.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG).
  • Prior experience in developing pricing strategies based on commodity markets.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and analytical methodologies.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (capable of performing complex functions) and Hyperion Essbase. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Abilities: Attention to detail and accuracy, capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with dairy markets (FMMO, CME, etc.) and other relevant commodity markets is preferred.
