Pediatric Anesthesiology Faculty

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Anesthesia Faculty to join our team at Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland. As a member of our department, you will be part of a team emphasizing high-quality, patient-centered perioperative care with a focus on evidence-based medicine.
About the RoleThis is an outstanding opportunity to practice 100% pediatric anesthesiology and join an established Anesthesia Department with a national reputation of excellence in education, research, and perioperative care.
Responsibilities- Participate in a team of approximately 23 faculty members working at BCH Oakland as a part of the UCSF Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care.
- Provide pediatric operating room care and participate in patient care outside of the operating rooms, including Ambulatory Care, Acute and Chronic Pain, the Preoperative Clinic, and the BCH Oakland Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center.
- Teach residents and medical students, participate in University service, faculty meetings, monthly Grand Rounds, and M&M conferences, contribute to quality assurance programs and continuing education, and advance the mission of the department.
- Must hold an MD, DO, or equivalent degree and be board eligible or certified in Anesthesia.
- Must possess a valid California Medical License.
- Must be Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship trained or have equivalent advanced training and/or experience beyond that of anesthesia residency training.
