About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Methodist Hospital Metropolitan. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients with respiratory conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a range of conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and pneumonia.
  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to physicians and other healthcare team members.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on respiratory health and disease management.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) certification.
  • State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
  • Licensed Certified Respiratory Therapist (LCRT) certification.
