Maintenance Planner Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team at 3V Sigma USA INC. As a Maintenance Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant by coordinating maintenance activities, prioritizing work, and ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work Order Management: Screen incoming work orders, assess the scope, and analyze the level of planning required.
- Job Site Assessment: Conduct field walkdowns to identify job requirements and ensure safety measures are in place.
- Safety Coordination: Collaborate with the Safety Department to enforce all relevant safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out protocols.
- Resource Planning: Estimate work duration, required skills, and procure necessary equipment, tools, and parts.
- Documentation: Prepare work procedures, gather technical documents, and compile job packages for skilled trades.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the management team to set priorities and communicate job expectations to skilled trades.
- Continuous Improvement: After job completion, gather feedback from the trades to enhance future job efficiency.
- Scheduling & Reporting: Lead weekly coordination meetings, publish weekly schedules, and generate reports from the CMMS on work management processes.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or GED; 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing pumps, valves, gearboxes, etc.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and proficiency with Windows-based programs.
- Strong mechanical/electrical knowledge.
- The ability to develop detailed work plans and write clear, concise work procedures.
- A collaborative mindset to work with Safety, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to ensure quality and safe work.
