Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Social Caseworker III to join our Adult Protective Services team at Adams County, Colorado. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing protective services to at-risk adults through investigation of allegations of abuse, neglect, and/or exploitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate assigned reports of mistreatment and self-neglect, assessing client needs through home visits, interviews, and other means.
  • Develop individual case plans, prepare and maintain client records, and coordinate supportive services for clients.
  • Communicate effectively with at-risk clients, their families, and outside agencies, working closely with community agencies and professionals to share information and make referrals.
  • Participate in family meetings, testify in court hearings, and contribute to the multi-disciplinary team (M-Team) and state and local committees.
Requirements
  • Two years of full-time professional social casework experience, acquired after a degree in a public or private social services agency, in an area appropriate to the position.
  • Bachelor's Degree in one of the human behavioral science fields.
  • Colorado Adult Protection Caseworker certification, to be completed within three months of employment.
