Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Tortilleria Clerk to join our team. As a Tortilleria Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment, operating the mill and packaging tortillas, and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance at all times and adhere to company dress code.
  • Operate the mill and package tortillas to meet customer demand.
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to customers, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional manner.
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of all products and prices in the tortilleria department.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to store policy and health regulations.
  • Handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy and assist in controlling inventory levels.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements and Conditions
  • High school education or equivalent, with some college courses preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience in department operations, with successful participation in a management training program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Food Safety certificate and Safety Training Certificate required.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, verify vendor invoices, and complete accounting reports.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a good work ethic and ability to work independently.
Physical Demands and Work Conditions
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
  • Occasionally exert or lift up to 50 pounds, and frequently exert or lift moderate amounts of weight.
  • Specific vision abilities required, including close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasional exposure to low temperatures in refrigerated and frozen food storage areas, and frequent exposure to heated ovens and high temperatures.
  • Available to work weekends and evenings, with overtime work common.
