Paralegal Specialist

Join the Air National Guard Units as a Paralegal Specialist and contribute to the success of our organization. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to our Staff Judge Advocate's Office, ensuring that our operations are in compliance with federal and state laws.
Responsibilities:- Provide legal research and analysis to support the Staff Judge Advocate's Office in matters related to administrative law, military justice, and legislative research.
- Assist in the preparation of legal opinions, reports, and briefings on various legal topics, including but not limited to, reports of survey, line of duty determinations, and formal and informal investigations.
- Conduct classes and training for commanders and unit members on legal topics and represent the Staff Judge Advocate's Office on legal committees and working groups.
- Provide legal assistance to members of the Air National Guard and their dependents on a non-interference basis, including wills, powers of attorney, and other legal matters.
- Support deployment legal assistance and participate in deployment readiness exercises, mobility lines, and Yellow Ribbon events.
- Experience in legal research, analysis, and writing, with a strong understanding of federal and state laws.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
