Exact Stormwater Management is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Construction Foreman to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing construction site activities, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget, and reporting to the Project Manager on project-specific tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee construction site activities and direct crews in the completion of installation projects, including pond liners, underground detention units, pavers, and biofilters.
- Anticipate project needs and potential problems, and implement cost-effective and efficient management techniques.
- Develop and manage multiple crews, fostering a professional and courteous working environment and promoting team-building.
- Maintain professional relations and communications with the field crew, on-site contacts, and project management team.
- Enforce safety compliance per company standards and OSHA requirements, including all required reporting and onsite safety meetings.
- Assist in resource planning, crew training, and specialized equipment supervision.
- Communicate with customers to confirm site readiness for installation.
- 5+ years of civil site construction experience as a foreman or in a similar role.
- Experience with installation of pond liners, underground detention units, biofilters, and/or engineered product solutions is a plus.
- Ability to travel, with a majority of work in the southeast.
- Understanding of proper safety procedures and recognition of hazardous situations.
- Extensive construction knowledge, including ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Solid working knowledge of computer programs, including Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook.
- Knowledge and experience using equipment, such as skid steer, front-end loader, and excavator.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to set priorities, forecast upcoming work, and allocate resources effectively.
- Flexibility and a positive attitude, with a willingness to learn.
- OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
