Operations Technician III/Sr

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Technician III/Sr to join our team at Williams Companies Inc. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support pipeline operations, including reading and interpreting drawings, inspecting and supervising equipment, and maintaining operation and technical standards and governmental requirements.
- Responsible for data analysis and collaboration with others to find solutions to technical or operational problems.
- Follow all Company policies and apply appropriate operating and maintenance procedures.
- Acquire knowledge of and adhere to requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets.
- Maintain general knowledge of site/location/equipment-specific permits and compliance.
- Complete assigned reports, logs, and maintain accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Solve problems, troubleshoot, operate, and maintain all natural gas processing plant equipment and facilities.
- Perform preventive compressor station and/or natural gas processing plant equipment and facilities.
- High School Diploma/GED and minimum three (3) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician or similar role.
- Associates or 2-year technical degree and minimum two (2) years of multifaceted operations technician experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience performing mechanic duties on turbines/compressors.
- Experience performing mechanic duties on centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, air compressors, and cooling fans.
- Experience with engine diagnostic tools and troubleshooting.
- Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises, and in enclosed spaces.
- Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed.
- Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time.
- Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment).
- Use hand tools.
- Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts, and holidays as the need arises.
- May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts, and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays.
- Must possess valid State Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills and proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers.
