Position Summary:

The Recreation Activities Manager is tasked with the organization and facilitation of recreational programs and events for residents at Liberation House. This role involves collaboration with the clinical team to ensure that all activities align with the therapeutic objectives and treatment plans of the residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a diverse schedule of recreational programs and events for residents.
  • Organize and lead group activities, including sports, games, arts and crafts, and community outings.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure recreational activities support residents' treatment goals.
  • Encourage physical fitness and overall wellness by developing and executing fitness initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation in recreational programs.
  • Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of recreational facilities and equipment.
  • Provide support and guidance to residents during recreational activities.
  • Work in partnership with other staff members to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for residents.
  • Transport clients as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • At least two years of experience in coordinating and leading recreational programs.
  • Certification or training as a Recovery Coach.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Substance Use Disorders.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • Strong conflict management and de-escalation skills.
