The Post-Recovery Specialist is tasked with managing a substantial volume of incoming calls, acting as a process authority for callers, and providing assistance in a timely and effective manner. This role is crucial for the accurate and prompt reporting of all repossessions to clients, ensuring adherence to client post-repossession protocols, and aiding associated departments in completing necessary administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a high volume of calls related to all facets of the post-recovery department, including scheduling vehicle releases, addressing inquiries, and managing escalations.
- Promptly reporting all repossessions from third-party service providers to the relevant client, either via email or through the client's record-keeping system.
- Collecting all client-required documentation for each repossession to meet service level agreements and timelines.
- Handling a significant volume of inbound calls to arrange vehicle releases, while also making outbound calls to coordinate pickups, paperwork, and address questions.
- Overseeing lot inventory management, which includes handling redemption releases, transport releases, and following up with individual agencies to maintain an accurate count of units on the lot.
- Managing contested repossessions to ensure the vehicle retrieval process is executed efficiently and accurately.
- Preparing analytical repossession reports for clients.
- Ensuring timely and appropriate communication with clients.
- Providing customer service and answering phone inquiries.
- Professional phone demeanor is essential.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with efficient and accurate data entry and research capabilities.
- Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
- Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution.
- Bachelor's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of one year of experience in customer service or administration within an office environment.
- Experience handling multiple phone lines is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

This is a full-time role. Workdays and hours may vary based on business needs, with potential evening and weekend hours as required by job responsibilities.
Physical Requirements
This position is primarily indoors. The ability to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods is necessary. Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs may be required. Exposure to moderate noise and light typical of a business office environment with computers, phones, printers, and light foot traffic is expected.
