We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to support the technical programs of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the development of technical products, leading special projects, and advising on industry trends to advance ASCE's mission.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Product Development: Support the membership in identifying technical product opportunities, provide guidance, and facilitate product development.
- Project Management: Spearhead technical activities within the institute and committees, serve as liaison to the technical community executive committee, and facilitate the development of manuals of practice and technical briefs.
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance to the Water Institutes technical program committees on technical program development for conferences and events.
- Content Development: Work with program committees to develop, facilitate, and deliver technical content for Water Institute events, including virtual and in-person seminars, workshops, and other courses.
- Partnership Development: Facilitate partnership agreements with local chapters for joint events.
- Staff Supervision: Assist with the supervision, effectiveness, training, and mentoring of staff.
- Education: 4-year college/university degree or equivalent broad knowledge in a specialized field.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in project management and committee support, with prior standards development experience a plus.
- Skills: Demonstrated success managing people, projects, and processes, thorough proficiency with the MS Office Suite, and some volunteer management experience preferred.
- Availability: The desire and availability to travel.
