Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Virtual Course Facilitator at Chesterfield County Public Schools. As a key member of our educational team, you will play a vital role in providing course facilitation and supervision for students in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Course Facilitation: Provide essential conditions for students to be successful in a blended learning classroom, working collaboratively with online instructors to support student learning and implement lesson plans.
  • Technical Support: Assist with technical troubleshooting and provide technical support to students to access course content.
  • Communication: Engage in ongoing communication with primary course instructors and establish clear objectives for all learning activities.
  • Instructional Support: Facilitate the curriculum of the district to plan and support daily instructional activities, identifying student deficits and providing intervention services as needed.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Assess student learning using multiple tools on an ongoing basis and create a positive educational climate for students.
  • Professional Development: Remain current in best practices for instructional delivery, assessment, and behavior management, and demonstrate commitment to improving professional competence.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred, with eligibility for a Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in a secondary content area.
  • Skills: Extensive knowledge of secondary education concepts, principles, and methodologies; working skill in the use of media and technology to support job functions; and ability to assess, monitor, and use data to differentiate instruction.
  • Experience: Valid driver's license and ability to work independently under the guidelines of CCPS policy and procedures.
Working Conditions

The ideal candidate will be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time, exhibit manual dexterity, and possess the ability to see, read, and hear with or without vision aids. The work environment is quiet to moderate, with occasional noise levels.

Supervision

The Virtual Course Facilitator will report to the Principal and work collaboratively with other faculty members to plan and deliver instruction to students.
