Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to contribute to critical projects focused on national security. As part of our engineering team, you will provide expertise in space mission engineering, supporting both national security initiatives and scientific research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced tools such as ADS, CST Microwave Studio, HFSS, and Comsol for the design and simulation of antennas and RF front-end modules.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of transceiver requirements for satellite Telemetry, Tracking, and Command (TT&C) systems.
  • Evaluate RF communication systems, assessing alternatives and risks associated with nonconforming components.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop technical proposals for spacecraft missions, including specifications for communications subsystems and electrical systems.
  • Engage in RF engineering design for spacecraft subsystems, overseeing the process from conceptualization to testing.
  • Conduct complex analyses and development studies to support programmatic objectives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in RF/electrical engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of TT&C, communications, and RF sensing systems.
  • Experience working in a collaborative project environment with engineers and scientists.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication to effectively share technical information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in RF/electrical engineering or related field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of space mission engineering principles.
  • Experience in aerospace or spacecraft engineering, particularly in hardware design and testing.
